Eagle Logistics Colombo goes bold with dual leadership appointment

Eagle Logistics Colombo celebrated its 18th Annual Awards Ceremony at Raffles Residence on 29 October. 

At this ceremony, the Managing Director Asanga Weerackody made two key appointments at the helm of the business. 

Rangana Perera, who previously acted as General Manager was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the company, while Amila Munaweera, who previously held the position of Head of Finance was appointed the Chief Financial Officer of the Eagle Group.

Eagle Logistics Colombo marked its 18th year in the logistics industry with a celebration at the company’s headquarters on Friday 20 October.

This pivotal anniversary signifies nearly two decades of growth, transformation, and unwavering dedication to excellence.

The company’s General Manager Rangana Perera reflected on the remarkable journey, stating, “When we started Eagle Logistics Colombo 18 years ago, our vision was clear: to excel in the logistics sector while setting new standards for service, reliability, and innovation. Today, I am immensely proud to say that we have achieved those goals and more.”

Eagle Logistics Colombo holds seminar on Incoterms, international payment terms

Eagle Logistics Colombo organised a ground-breaking seminar on Incoterms and international payment terms at DHPL Auditorium, Colombo 02.

Headlined by industry veteran Sean Van Dort, the event attracted over 125 attendees.

Van Dort’s expertise illuminated the nuances of global trade, emphasising the significance of Incoterms and payment methods.

The seminar fostered dynamic discussions among diverse participants, equipping them to confidently navigate international commerce complexities. This initiative reaffirms Eagle Logistics Colombo’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and transformative impact in the logistics landscape.

Eagle Group holds Annual Staff Awards

Eagle Group recently held its Annual Staff Awards night, the most glamorous and enjoyable event of the year at the Monarch Imperial with over 200 staff members and important stakeholders.

The main categories of awards included Business Development, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Customs House Brokerage, and support services which saw both nominations and winners. In line with the company slogan, one staff member was awarded the ‘Think Different’ award which has been one of the most coveted awards since the inception of the annual awards ceremony.

Eagle Logistics celebrates 17th anniversary

Eagle Logistics recently celebrated its 17th anniversary. The company started business in 2005 as a joint venture with CL Synergy Ltd. having just three staff, and today it has become a group with five partnerships and more than 200 employees.

CEO Asanga Weerackody created the Eagle Logistics name along with CL Synergy helping back-office operations. Other partnerships include Eagle Global Express Ltd., Interglobe Freight Solutions Ltd., S C M Studio Ltd. Freight 360 Ltd and Logipharma.

Eagle Logistics Colombo moves Moratuwa Branch to new location

Eagle Logistics Colombo moved its Moratuwa Branch office to a new location on 23 June to No. 490A/1/1, Galle Road South, Rawathawatta, Moratuwa.

Head of the Branch Isuru Mendis stated that moving into a new location will enable them to facilitate room for expansion and growth whilst increasing the efficiency and productivity of the employees.
